Srinagar the heart of Kashmir was founded by emperor Ashoka (3rd Century BC). the city is surrounded by beautiful lofty mountains. the city is spread on both sides of river jehlum also known as (the vale of Kashmir). Srinagar is also a center of manufacturer of carpets, silk and wool. the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir.
